Deck
and Hull construction work is regularly carried out by our team
of fabricator / fitters and well qualified welders. Large scale
steel renwal is normally carried out during lay up periods and depending
upon the spread of work we even have achieved an average daily production
rate between 3-4 metric tons for afloat repairs. We have achieved
this kind of rate with adequate backup stocks of staging and scaffolding
material, our own power generating sets, fairly large stock of rectifiers
and other welding equipment including our own work barge. Adequate
stock of shipbuilding quality steel in various thickness are kept
ready at hand. Steel otherwise is available in abundance and can
be procured at short notice. |
